It starts with the savage tournament Barely Even Human and continues with the always crazy Celebration in mid-November (do you have your theme yet??). Winter League is coming up in early December, so get your clever heckles ready

Admit it... the battle for your soul is over. Life as you once knew it is long gone, now that Ultimate has sucked you into its clutches like it has so many other, well, suckers (alright: players). So what's next? Yeah, we know you'll be refining your flick till its flight no longer resembles that of a one-winged duck. And, in time, your dictionary will swell with new terms such as stack, force, pick, huck and poach. But for now let's talk about the stuff that you don't even know you need to know?

The information in this article can and should act as a catapult, literally hurling you into a whole new world of Ultimate... the world of tournaments.

ltimate has existed always — at least since the dawn of man's capacity to feel joy and elation. They will tell you that Ultimate started at a New Jersey high school in 1968, but that was simply the scratch that satisfied an itch millions of years in the making. The bigger questions are: Why does it exist? And what is it about Ultimate that inspires an almost euphoric obsession towards the sport? This article makes the case that despite of our rage we are still just a rat in a cage.

TUFF Gets Tougher After Holding Tryouts

fter experiencing its largest loss of talent in team history, TUFF entered the 2009-2010 college season looking to restock its talent pool. This year, in response to the increasing athleticism of the other elite teams around the country, the TUFF leadership chose to favor athleticism over experience to a greater degree than in the past, with a specific goal of recruiting additional height and speed.

hen I think about Melee seasons past, it brings to mind the names of players such as Cara Crouch, Sarah Blyth and Gina Phillips. During my first meeting with Lindsay Worthington, co-coach of Melee, we started going through the list of veterans who would return this year. Admittedly, I was a little concerned because only a few of these names were recognizable. Being 3 years removed from the college ultimate scene, it was clear that I was out of touch.
